Apple Devices

Apple has taken firm root in America. Just over half of all households in the country own at least one Apple product, a new survey says, showing just how far the reach of the company has come in the last decade.” – CNN Tech Article: Half of U.S. households own at least one Apple product

Apple provides a wide range of devices with many different versions of each:

  • Macbook
  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • iPod
  • iMac

It seems like anywhere you go today, you will see people talking on iPhone’s or listening to music from iPad’s. Here at the university, Macbook’s are popular and more and more iPad’s are being used. I can definitely see how the above statistic would be true. It would be interesting to know what the use of Apple products in Canada looks like.

I can’t help but wonder how many students in Saskatchewan schools have their own Apple devices. Or, how many classrooms have sets of devices for students to use considering the fact iPad’s are great educational tools that provide numerous learning experiences that don’t consist of a piece of paper and a textbook or a simple written assignment.

I know that within my own family, I have an iPod, my sister has two iPod’s, my aunt has an iPad and an iPod and my cousins also have Apple devices.

  1. I think zero should have been its own option. There is a significant difference between having zero apple devices and having 1 or 2.
